PPM: Connect Data Center

Monitoring
- PPM takes a multi-layered approach to monitoring all critical infrastructure systems
- Systems including network infrastructure, power, cooling, fire detection and security as examples are monitored 24×7 with internal and external technologies and by Arsalon personnel.

|
|
Physical Security
- Interior walls maintain consistent temperatures in the Computer Rooms and to monitor security.
|
|
|
Physical Security
- Biometric laser hand scanners and thumb scanners limit access to the Command Rooms and the Computer Rooms to authorized personnel.
- All entry and exit activities are logged on redundant systems.
- Activity in the Command Rooms is monitored by video and recorded.

Racks
- All equipment is installed in fully enclosed and secured cabinets with locking mechanisms.
|
|
|
Power
- In the case of a loss of power a Kohler diesel generator located outside the building can supply back-up power to the IOC.
- Dedicated on-site generator can provide continuous power to the facilities for days without refueling.

|
Environment Control
- Four redundant 15 ton Liebert Air-Handling Units regulate temperature, humidity and airflow in the Computer Rooms, keeping the environment at an optimum level for the computer systems.

|
Environment Control
- In case of fire, a specially designed, automated FM-200 fire-suppression system prevents excessive damage to the IOC equipment.
- The FM-200 agent saturates the room, coating oxygen molecules in the air to prevent/extinguish fire.

Network Infrastructure
- Carrier Neutral Facility (CNF)
- Bandwidth is provided only by diversified Tier-1 carriers (ATT, Sprint & MCI) and is managed through redundant routers utilizing BGP4 for automated fail-over.
